Pokok Merbau merupakan sejenis tumbuhan yang terdapat di hutan Malaysia serta di negara-negara ASEAN yang lain. Nama botani pokok ini ialah Intsia palembanica Miq.[1] Pohon ini dibezakan dengan pokok saudara, I. bijuga berdasarkan jumlah anak dedaun yang membentuk daun majmuk.[2]

Intsia bijuga and Intsia palembanica differ mainly in the number of leaflets that make up their compound leaves. Both are native to tropical rainforests in Southeast Asia and the islands of the southwest Pacific.
